Update October 2019:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I found it\u2026 and it\u2019s better than I could have dreamt. (And trust me, my dreams were awesome!) The house, an old ranger\u2019s dwelling from 1869, felt like home when I first set foot in it. It\u2019s nestled beautifully among large trees, surrounded by meadows, forests and nature reserves. The old barn next to it will be transformed into the perfect studio during 2020. NY ATELJ\u00c9<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

De senaste \u00e5ren har min konst b\u00f6rjat anta helt nya format och min Malm\u00f6-atelj\u00e9, som redan var i minsta laget, r\u00e4cker inte till l\u00e4ngre. Nu \u00e4r jag p\u00e5 jakt efter en ny atelj\u00e9 och ett nytt boende i ett lugnt l\u00e4ge utanf\u00f6r staden, n\u00e4ra stora tr\u00e4d. N\u00e5gonstans d\u00e4r jag kan str\u00e4cka ut vingarna utan begr\u00e4nsningar. <\/span>Atelj\u00e9n \u00e4r i fokus, jag beh\u00f6ver minst 150-200 kvm (eller m\u00f6jlighet att bygga till, s\u00e5vida tomten och budgeten till\u00e5ter det). \u00c5tminstone halva ytan m\u00e5ste ha en takh\u00f6jd p\u00e5 minst 4-5 meter, eller m\u00f6jlighet att skapa det. Formatet p\u00e5 mina verk har formligen exploderat i samband med mitt st\u00f6rsta projekt n\u00e5gonsin. (Det kommer resultera i utst\u00e4llningen Transit<\/em> i Malm\u00f6 h\u00f6sten 2020 \u2013 men de stora formaten kommer jag tvekl\u00f6st att forts\u00e4tta med.)<\/span>Boendet ska g\u00e4rna vara minst 120 kvm, men \u00e4ven d\u00e4r kan jag t\u00e4nka mig att bygga till. Mestadels bra takh\u00f6jd (eller m\u00f6jlighet att skapa det) \u00e4r ett m\u00e5ste. “Gulligt” \u00e4r ingen f\u00f6rdel, ljus och rymd \u00e4r det absolut. <\/span>En g\u00e5rd kan m\u00f6jligtvis ha all denna potential, men en industribyggnad med r\u00e4tt k\u00e4nsla lockar ocks\u00e5. Jag t\u00e4nker mig atelj\u00e9 och boende i separata byggnader men \u00e4r \u00f6ppen f\u00f6r m\u00f6jligheten att de i en speciell byggnad eventuellt kan g\u00e5 att kombinera under samma tak. <\/span>Optimalt l\u00e4ge \u00e4r max 45 minuters bilf\u00e4rd fr\u00e5n Malm\u00f6. Lite l\u00e4ngre avst\u00e5nd kan mycket v\u00e4l fungera om det \u00e4r d\u00e4r dr\u00f6matelj\u00e9n visar sig finnas. Kartan h\u00e4r under \u00e4r ganska ungef\u00e4rlig, jag \u00e4r \u00f6ppen f\u00f6r f\u00f6rslag.<\/span>Budgeten \u00e4r sv\u00e5r att precisera, jag \u00e4r lite flexibel beroende p\u00e5 vad jag hittar och vilket skick det \u00e4r i. Jag r\u00e4knar med att beh\u00f6va g\u00f6ra en st\u00f6rre investering f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 atelj\u00e9n i det mycket specifika skick som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r mitt arbete, s\u00e5 en bra bit av budgeten \u00e4r reserverad till detta. Jo, den \u00e4r ett m\u00e5ste… Jag beh\u00f6ver dem. Saknar dem. <\/span>N\u00e5gon f\u00f6reslog att jag skulle erbjuda en hittel\u00f6n, och det \u00e4r klart \u2013 hittar jag min nya atelj\u00e9 tack vare dig s\u00e5 blir du givetvis \u00e4gare till ett nytt konstverk.<\/p>\n

NEW STUDIO<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The past few years my art has expanded massively and I have outgrown my Malm\u00f6 studio. I am looking for a new studio and a house to go with it in a quiet location outside the city, close to large trees. Somewhere where I can fully stretch my wings without limitations.<\/span>The studio is my main focus, I need at least 150-200 square meters (or the possibility of adding to the space). At least half of this space must have a ceiling height of 4-5 meters or more, or the possibility of creating it. The scale of my recent works has really shot up in connection with my biggest project to date. (Keep an eye out for my Transit<\/em> exhibition in Malm\u00f6 in the fall of 2020.) <\/span>I would like the home to be at least 120 square meters. (But \u2013 space and budget allowing \u2013 building an extension could solve it if it’s smaller, of course.) Mostly high ceilings (or the possibility of getting them) are a must. “Cute” is not an advantage, light and space definitely are. <\/span>An old farm might have this potential, but I’m also very open to the idea of transforming some kind of industrial building with the right atmosphere. I’m picturing studio and home in separate buildings, but realize there might be the possibility of combining them under the same roof in a very particular building.  <\/span>The ideal location is no more than 45 minutes by car from Malm\u00f6. A bit further away is likely doable if that is where I find my dream studio. The map below is just approximate.<\/span>The budget is not easy to define, I am a bit flexible depending on what I find and what state it is in. I’m expecting that transforming the studio space to what I need will require a substantial investment, so a chunk of the budget is reserved for this. (Please feel free to get in touch with me for more information about this if you think you have suggestions for me.) <\/span>The closeness to large trees that I mentioned initially? That really is non-negotiable. I miss them. Must live near them. <\/span>It was suggested to me that I should offer a finder’s fee, and I think that’s a given \u2013 if I find my new studio thanks to you, you will definitely become the owner of a brand new artwork. <\/div>
