EX LIBRIS is the name of my solo exhibition at the Bibliotheca in Valletta. The centuries old books at Malta’s National Library inspired me so much that I just had to create my own metal books and scrolls. I have always used words and text in my art and this whole exhibition focused on an aspect of that. The work was inspired by the old books at the Bibliotheca that deal with metal, metallurgy, chemistry and alchemy. After a lot of research and an enormous amount of work at my studio, the exhibition opened on May 5. The opening was attended by close to 200 people and it went on to get a lot of attention in Maltese (and even international) media before it ended on June 2.<\/span>

Here are cultural TV programmes and documentaries about EX LIBRIS:<\/span>\u2022 Meander<\/span><\/a>\u2022 <\/strong>MaltArti<\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u2022 A full documentary was created about EX LIBRIS as part of the series “Valletta \u2013 Lwien ta-Belt” (Valletta, \u2013 the Colours of the City), for now this trailer is available.<\/strong><\/a><\/span>Articles about EX LIBRIS were written in the following magazines and news papers:<\/span>\u2022 The Times of Malta<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2022 Sunday Circle<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u2022 <\/strong>Indulge Magazine<\/strong><\/a><\/span>On May 22 I delivered a talk in English at the Bibliotheca about EX LIBRIS. This informal talk, entitled “EX LIBRIS \u2013 the inspiration, the techniques and the passion!” was attended by a crowd of art lovers.
