I moved to Baldringe in southern Sweden in 2020 and proceeded to build a large studio which has given me the possibility to not only create large scale art, but also exhibit the works professionally in my studio. The heavy nature of my art, as well as frequently working on commissioned pieces, mean that out-of-studio exhibitions will be less frequent than they were during the decades leading up to 2020. A catalog of past exhibitions will be created when there’s a lull in the workload (although… admittedly there hasn’t been one in the last 25 years). In the meantime, here’s a look back at a few exhibitions in recent years<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Tillf\u00e4lligt Hemma”<\/strong> \u2013 Temporarily Home<\/em> \u2013 was a solo exhibition in Gnosj\u00f6 in Sweden. The exhibition opened on Friday October 6 and ended on Sunday October 15. I moved to Gnosj\u00f6 when I was nine and this special town with its amazing ingenuity, helpfulness and entrepreneurship affected me in so many ways as I grew up there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTRANSIT\u201d <\/strong>solo exhibition at STUDIO<\/a> in Malm\u00f6, took place in December 2021. This exhibition had been in the making since 2016 and was made up of artworks created from the 115 year old copper towers from the old \u201cCentralposthuset\u201d (Central Post Office) in Malm\u00f6. Please see this page<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My \u201cV\u00c4XT\u201d<\/strong> solo exhibition at J\u00c4GER & JANSSON Galleri in Lund, Sweden, in the fall of 2021 was a large, themed exhibition. \u201cV\u00e4xt\u201d is Swedish for life force, as in \u201cplant\u201d or \u201cgrowth\u201d. The works are all made of etched and patinated copper, brass and bronze. Copper mushrooms sprout in some of the works, delicate flowers spread, and lichen and barnacles emerge from folds of the metal. Read more about the exhibition here.<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 was a year of transition on many levels. I worked on my Transit<\/em> exhibition, a huge project that has captivated me completely. The exhibition was originally planned for September 2020 in Malm\u00f6, Sweden, but given the \u201ctransition\u201d the world has gone through this year and the current uncertainties, I have decided to shift it to 2021. Another aspect ot \u201ctransit\u201d is that I have moved to a dream location east of Malm\u00f6. I now live surrounded by trees and meadows and my new amazing studio is currently taking shape here, right next to my home in the most inspiring surroundings possible. I look forward to welcoming you here! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spent this year working on commissions as well as Transit<\/em>. This demanded all of my time, so aside from the Open House at my studio, I only had one very special exhibition, WORDS<\/a>, with record-breaking sales in support of freedom of speech. There was also a very special adventure in 2019\u2026 one that resulted in 82-year-old Lennart, a true MacGyver, getting a much needed lathe. And I, along with the friends that made it possible, got the experience of a lifetime. The story is here<\/a>, and trust me, it\u2019s worth a read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2018<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After years of preparation and intense work, I showed my metal books and other works at my EX LIBRIS<\/a> exhibition in Valletta in May 2018. In October 2018 my portrait of assassinated Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia<\/a> was unveiled by then President Antonio Tajani at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where the portrait now hangs permanently by the Press Conference Room, named after the fearless investigative journalist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
