Alongside individual works and commissions, I sometimes undertake larger projects — extended series in etched and patinated copper, bronze, and brass, bound by a single idea, theme, or source of inspiration. These projects can span years and dozens of works. A selection is shown here.
The Gunnar Norrman Inspiration
One of the most challenging and inspiring projects of my career: a collaboration of sorts with Gunnar Norrman, Sweden’s foremost drypoint artist, who died in 2005. Working from his original copper drypoint plates, I gave the metal new life as a body of my own work, shown at a solo exhibition at Jäger & Jansson Galleri in Lund in 2025.

TRANSIT
In a sense, this series began in 1906 — the year the copper tower was raised on Malmö’s old Central Post Office and slowly began to patinate. For over a century the metal transformed on its own; then, when the copper needed replacing, its owners entrusted it to me. Over six years I have continued that transformation, working the aged copper into letters, books, parcels and columns, its surface deepened with etched, hand-written words.

Ex Libris
A solo exhibition at the Bibliotheca, Malta’s National Library in Valletta, endorsed by the Valletta 2018 Foundation as part of Valletta’s year as European Capital of Culture. The show drew on the Bibliotheca’s centuries-old books on metal, metallurgy and alchemy — inspiring a series of my own metal books and scrolls, their deeply etched text poised between permanence and disintegration, much like the volumes that inspired them.
