Information for architects

Marie Louise Kold works with different structures and patterns, etched or patinated into the metal. She uses a combination of acids to affect the copper, bronze and brass.

The results range from elaborate portraits consisting of thousands of small metal squares, to abstract patterns focusing on structure or color.

Her art has been bought for many companies and official buildings and has also sometimes been built into the interior of buildings. One example is the large, metal clad wall (which also had sound-proofing qualities) at the reception area of Realdania in central Copenhagen, finished in December 2009. See photos here.

In October 2008, Marie Louise Kold's art was featured in a four page article in the architectural magazine Copper Forum.
