Marie Louise Kold has made a name for herself internationally with her ability to
imbue metals with an emotional charge that turns them into art.

She has developed a technique of her own, which has its roots in the tradition of
copper printing. Working with copper, brass and bronze she engraves and etches the
metal, not using it to print with, but the metal itself becomes the actual art object.

Educated in art, metallurgy and bronze casting, she has been working with metal since
the mid-1990's.

Marie Louise Kold has exhibited extensively and in recent years has had solo
exhibitions in places ranging from Montmartre, Paris and Gallery Tapper-Popermajer in
Malmö, to Illums Bolighus on Strøget, Copenhagen and Nordic Council of Ministers'
Gallery in Copenhagen, which exhibits contemporary Nordic art of the highest class.

Marie Louise Kold was born in 1974 in Århus, Denmark. She currently lives and works
in Malmö, Sweden.
